DMW Appoints New NY State Director
Draft Mark Warner is pleased to annouce the appointment of a new State Director for New York. We already have a thriving group of New Yorkers who have been following this effort and are anxious to get to work for Gov. Warner and his future campaign.Edward A. Hartzog – is an attorney and former staff member for the House Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs where he served both Chairman Morris K. Udall of Arizona and his successor the Hon. George Miller of California. He served as the Field Director for Congressman Anthony Weiner’s mayoral campaign in 2005 and was a field manager for Howard Dean’s presidential campaign in New York City. He was also a member of Senator Bill Bradley and Governor Dean’s lawyers’ committees in 2000 and 2004, respectively. He is the Executive Director of New Democratic Majority – a grassroots political organization based in New York City – and served as the Political Director for NDM, from 2004 to 2005. In addition to a law degree from Indiana University-Bloomington, he has an M.P.A. in Environmental and Economic Policy from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
